Cardiectomy

I wrote a poem for class last night. It's not about anybody, so nobody don't be gettin any ideas or anything, I heard somebody compared to cancer and I loved that so I ran with it. By the way, if anybody knows if that would be the right name for removal of the heart or not, let me know. But anyway, here it is.

Cardiectomy

She is cancer.
The feeling comes and goes,
but the tumor remains.

She is inoperable.
Unless you use a twelve-
To gouge out your heart.

Shes always there;
Bound to your bloodstream,
Flowing through your veins like ice water.

She gets inside your brain,
Psychology cant explain-
What she does.
Lobotomy comes close,
But close is what you wont get;
Not close enough to express yourself:
The feelings you harbor like infection inside.

And once you do, the cell wall collapses,
And the ardent-biotic attack begins..

Relapse.
